Sometimes life inevitably goes back full circle sometimes doesn't it?
Back in 2015-2016 on my first travels to Japan I decided to attend a couple of street photography workshops with a talented local Tokyo photographer, Lukasz Palka.
I always tell my students and others looking to learn photography that if you are serious about leveling up your skills there is no better way than hiring local photographers either in your area or on your travels.

I have done so several times and I remember vividly the few hours we spend together and the amount of information I absorbed learning tips and tricks unique to each photographer. Plus they know and have insider knowledge on the best spots! I gained and more importantly RETAINED much more knowledge in that time over hundreds of hours watching mostly forgettable YouTube videos.
My experience with Lukasz and other instructors helped shape a lot of my early work and experiences and led me down the path of ultimately becoming an educator myself.
Fast forward several years, and it's all come full circle as I've joined EYExplore, the company that Lukasz co-founded here in Tokyo offering some of Japans premier photography workshop experiences!
This new 3 hour studio photography workshop will have me as your instructor in a private studio setting with an experienced model and will focus on various lighting techniques using both strobes and continuous lights to craft beautiful and artistic images and will be a very unique experience when on your travels to Japan. Everything will be setup for you including the lighting equipment and model so all you will have to bring is your camera, enthusiasm and creativity!
This workshop is geared towards ALL levels so no matter your understanding of the studio environment we will be sure to have you leaving with an unforgettable experience and photos you can be proud of!
